Leadership Masterclass

Becoming a Self Motivated Leader

This two-day programme designed exclusively for middle and senior manager’s focuses on the motivational aspects of leadership from several perspectives:

• Self motivation
• Team motivation
• Organisational motivation

The two days will deal with leadership issues within the workplace arising from motivation and how motivation plays a crucial role in performance.

The master class is built around the ‘Performance Equation’; a concept originally put together by Professor John Purcell of Bath University and further enhanced and developed by Michael Baker of The Training & Business Consultancy

Performance = Ability x Motivation x Behaviour x Opportunity

The format for the two days is free flow discussion and experiential exercises built around the above model.

Day 1

The morning of day one will cover off the specific areas that the group wish to deal with. This enables the master class to be tailored exactly to the audience and allows for greater participation.

The afternoon will deal with the wider aspects of motivation and leadership and will rely on feedback from participants on the way they currently operate in their working environment and the effect motivation can have on individual performance.

Day 2

Day two will lead on to look at the different ways people are motivated and introduce several motivational models and theories as well as practical exercises on how these theories work in the real world.

During day two we will also look in depth into the behaviours that can affect motivation and how we can manage these behaviours, keeping the positive and changing the negative.

• This workshop costs £1400 for an in house delivery with a maximum of 12 delegates for two days
• This workshop costs £175 per delegate when booked on an open course. Maximum number on open course is 10 delegates.
