Running Effective Meetings that Save you Time

Event description

This event will help delegates to decide when to have meetings, consider the cost of meeting and explore other methods of communication.

Delegates will work on the planning of meetings to meet objectives of informing, creating, problem-solving and collective decision-making. They will write agendas to shape meetings and set rules for the conduct of meetings.

Who will benefit?

Anyone who wishes to improve their skills in planning and managing meetings.

Delegates will learn to:

  • Procure a meeting with effective outcomes, agreed actions with accountability
  • Communicate to all attendees expectations, contribution and roles
  • Take up the role of chair and demonstrate key skills of decisions making and agenda management
  • Learn the process of effective meetings: preparation, effective chairmanship and meeting behaviour, planned follow-up, clarity about “content” and “process”, taking care of essentials such as the environment
  • Demonstrate effective time planning, pre and post meeting administration and follow-up
  • Avoid turning meetings into problem-solving session, keeping to the agenda

  • This workshop costs £1400 for an in house delivery with a maximum of 12 delegates for two days
  • This workshop costs £175 per delegate when booked on an open course. Maximum number on open course is 10 delegates.
