Advanced Techniques in Project Management
Workshop description
This three-day workshop builds on the skills, knowledge and experience of project managers and gives them a safe environment in which to discuss and practise a range to tools and techniques that will enable them to deliver successful projects on time, to budget and to quality .
Who will benefit?
- This workshop is suitable for all staff who have attended the Level 2 workshops or who have extensive experience as project managers already.
Delegates will learn how to:
- Utilise the ‘Forced Pairs’ techniques for actively involving stakeholders in defining the scope of a projects
- Learn techniques to manage sponsors and stakeholders professionally
- Learn how to negotiate with confidence to forge a win win outcome with internal and external suppliers, stakeholders and sponsors
- Manage people more efficiently within projects and motivate them to achieve great things
- Understand the differences between Change Management and Project Management and lead people through change
- Define and utilise the power of Critical Path Analysis to reduce the time frame for projects
- Manage budgets efficiently so that projects don’t waste money or resources
- Use Earned Value Analysis (EVA) to manage thier projects correctly
Workshop Duration
This is a three-day workshop.
This workshop is based on the UK’s Association of Project Management (APM) methodology and the UK’s Office of Government Commerce Prince 2 methodology.
Workshop Cost
- This workshop costs £1400 for an in house delivery with a maximum of 12 delegates for two days
- This workshop costs £175 per delegate when booked on an open course. Maximum number on open course is 10 delegates.
